Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) Serbia - North Macedonia
First ever cross-border cooperation programme between the Serbia and North Macedonia comprising, on one side, the southern part of central Serbia with the districts of Jablanica and Pcinja and, on the other side, the north-eastern part of North Macedonia with the North-East Region and part of the Region of Skopje. It is a home of approximately 732 000 people residing in 30 municipalities. This programme is presented under the slogan “Good friends, new opportunities”.
The main priorities are employment and labour mobility, development of tourism and cultural and natural heritage, and fostering joint risk management systems of natural sites (as floods).
The total EU contribution to the Interreg-IPA CBC Serbia-North Macedonia programme is EUR 3.5 million.
