Summary
Although the migration crisis had put Serbia under a lot of strain, it succeeded in managing migration flows and treating migrants in a responsible and humane manner. The EU provides support to refugees, their host communities and the authorities in resolving problems of influx of asylum seekers and labour migrants in Serbia.
Capacities of the reception centre for asylum seekers in Obrenovac will be expanded through a series of activities: rehabilitation of accommodation buildings, kindergarten, kitchen and dining room, reconstruction of electricity supply, heating, sewage system and landscaping, as well as purchasing home appliances, furniture, educational, IT, sports, kitchen, gardening equipment and tools.
