Construction of Common Crossing Points (CCPs) between Serbia and Kosovo*

Summary

The integrated approach to CCPs management is a joint contribution towards regional fight against organised crime, terrorism, illegal migration and human trafficking. Through this project, three Common Crossing Points will be reconstructed, in accordance with the EU-facilitated dialogue between Belgrade and Priština. The technical protocol on implementation of integrated border management (IBM) between Serbia and Kosovo* was reached in 2011 and envisaged establishment of six interim common crossing points (CCPs), three on each side.
The construction of three common crossings, Jarinje in Raška Municipality, Končulj in Bujanovac Municipality and Mučibaba in Preševo Municipality complements both Serbia’s and Kosovo’s* Integrated Border Management (IBM) strategy. They will ensure effective and efficient control at administrative line crossings, aligned to the European Union standards.
