Workshop on improving systems for information and data exchange

On December 5-6, 2024, a workshop was held focusing on improving existing systems and developing new solutions for the exchange of information and data. The event was attended by six representatives from the Border Police Directorate, with the primary goal of preparing actionable proposals to enhance communication and information sharing among employees.

The first day of the workshop was dedicated to creating innovative solutions to improve communication and data exchange within the Border Police Directorate. Participants identified key challenges in current communication processes, explored advanced technologies to enhance interoperability, and discussed ways to integrate security measures into the proposed solutions.

On the second day, interactive sessions centred on defining documents to be exchanged as part of risk analysis processes. Participants gave particular attention to analysing frameworks for secure and efficient information sharing among relevant stakeholders, as well as designing a user-friendly interface to improve data accessibility for analysts and decision-makers. Additionally, methods for evaluating and mitigating risks based on shared data were developed, laying the groundwork for a more effective and secure risk analysis system.

The outcome of this two-day workshop was the creation of concrete solutions and proposals aimed at improving communication and information sharing among employees of the Border Police Directorate.

The workshop was organized as part of the "EU Support for Efficient Border Management" project, funded by the European Union.
