Continuing efforts to enhance joint activities aimed at promoting the results of public administration reform (PAR) in Serbia, the second meeting of the Working Group for Planning and Coordination of Communication on Public Administration Reform was held on October 16 at the Palace of Serbia.

The meeting focused on further promotion of PAR results and the planning of activities that will contribute to greater visibility of improvements achieved in the delivery of public services to citizens and businesses, the faster and simpler operation of public administration, and increased transparency.
Among the topics discussed, where the most notable progress has been achieved, digitalization of services stood out in particular. Digitalization enables faster communication between citizens and institutions, reduces paperwork, and allows most administrative procedures to be completed electronically.

It was agreed that members of the Working Group will fill out a questionnaire distributed electronically, through which institutions will nominate topics for media campaigns that will present to the public the most significant achievements of public administration reform to date. The campaigns are planned as part of a joint initiative to highlight PAR results achieved so far, in line with the reform strategies and the ongoing work on the Action Plan for the period 2026–2030.
The collected data on institutional activities will also serve as a first step in preparing the Communication Action Plan for 2026. It was further agreed that the next meeting of the Working Group will be held in November, when specific topics for media campaigns to be implemented by the end of the year will be defined.
The meeting was attended by Mila Stanković, Assistant Minister at the Sector for European Integration and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government (MPALSG), and was chaired by Đorđe Đoković, Acting Assistant Minister at MPALSG.
The European Union continues to provide financial and technical support to the public administration reform process in Serbia, which is coordinated by the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government. The contribution of other key institutions involved in the PAR process — including the Ministry of Finance, the Republic Secretariat for Public Policies, the National Academy for Public Administration, and other Government of Serbia institutions that are members of the PAR Council — remains essential to the success of this reform.
