STOCK STUDIO - NEW PLATFORM FOR STOCK CONTENT MANAGEMENT

For twenty years, stock photography, or thematic, situational commercial photography has been providing different types of visual content, which is used in various activities (marketing, design, etc.). Simplified licensing and availability of Stock content (available through online databases) are the main characteristics and advantages of this type of business. Stock photography has great potential to radically redefine applied photography, its scope and goals. Also, it’s totally clear that this is an industry worth several billion dollars.

Aleksej Vasić, today is known as successful stock photographer and co-founder of the most influential photo studio in Serbia, Lumina images. He entered the world of Stock Photography by accident, buying a disposable camera on a trip. In the years that followed, his interest in photography grew.

Many years of professional photography experience have created the need to optimize, organize and complete the entire process in a way that would suit this way of working and the needs of clients. That’s how idea of creating a team and a Stock Studio platform, came out.

So far, all solutions that have been made and offered on the market are focused on end users, buyers of photos on the internet. A team of young entrepreneurs from Belgrade agreed on the idea to offer a unique innovative platform. It’s a platform that will help digital content creators to raise their business on a higher level, to easily and quickly monitor the results and information related to the photos sale, as well as overall control system.

Thanks to this idea, the stock contributor community has the ability to archive, organize and edit content in one place, while at the same time owning and protecting its content. This platform enables the distribution of content to agencies and clients, where sales is actually happening.

According to Aleksej, thanks to the financial support of the European Union, the team extremely accelerated the development process and managed to raise the prototype from the phase of "rough" concept to a product ready for the market. The funds approved through the program of the Innovation Fund are primarily focused on development, so the company now has a functional product ready for use.

The next step in the development of the platform is the implementation of analytical monitoring of the return on investment in photos and video content, monitoring of all metrics and obtaining accurate and reliable information. The focus of future improvement is on forming a large user base and developing a user experience.

"Stock photography was created when, for example, you need a photo of an apple, which you" download "from the Internet. Now it's a purchase of something that really needs to replace organized photography and even dictate the aesthetics of your brand. Our desire and goal is to continue to develop the product and together we help, listen, and solve the problems of the stock community", concluded Aleksej.
