Social media for the Serbian public policy secretariat

EU-funded project "Public Administration Reform Visibility and Communication" started a series of mentoring sessions with representatives of the Serbian Public Policy Secretariat (PPS) on the use of social media. This very important public administration body has so far not used social networks to communicate with the general public and this training is an important necessity for the PPS to successfully inform the public about its many activities through digital platforms.

The training program was launched at the end of May 2021 and is thematically and practically adapted to the needs of state institutions that want to be present and active on social networks. The Public Policy Secretariat has selected a team of up to 10 employees from various sectors to attend the training in order to, after learning theoretical and practical knowledge, contribute to the quality presentation of various responsibilities and projects of this state institution.

Sessions are held once a week and each is dedicated to a different topic: from the basics from a broader angle, through the necessary preparatory steps before going online, creating posts, planning and steps when opening a particular social media channel.

During the training, special attention is paid to practical work on topics relevant to all sectors involved and the quality of mentoring sessions is significantly contributed by the interest, commitment and active participation of all members of the PPS team.
