The EU has financed the transport of twelve planes with medical equipment to Serbia so far

As part of the emergency donation of the European Union to Serbia in the amount of EUR 15 million, the EU has financed twelve cargo flights in the total amount of EUR 4.9 million, which have brought more than 540 tons of goods, both the donations from the EU and the equipment bought by the Government of Serbia. These flights, which were organized by the UN Development Program (UNDP), enable the fastest possible delivery of equipment and materials due to the fact that valuable time and expense have been saved by using a large cargo plane and its space to full capacity.

The partners from the European Union have allocated considerable resources and significant aid, even though the member states themselves are facing huge challenges in this battle

Ana Brnabić, the Prime Minister of Serbia, said.

The arrival of three more planes, worth EUR 2.166 million in total, are bringing additional 200 tons of various medical equipment. The total value of these flights will be EUR 7.094 million.

Since the beginning of the crisis not a day has passed without the medical equipment the EU has transported or bought, meant for health institutions and endangered communities in Serbia. I am proud of the aid we are providing, thanks to the packet in the amount of EUR 15 million for urgent measures of aid in Serbia, which are financed by the European Union

Sem Fabrizi, the head of the European Union Delegation in Serbia, said.
