Celebration of Europe Day in Belgrade - Festival of Europe at Kalemegdan, 14 May at 12PM
After celebrating Europe Day in Novi Sad, European Capital of Culture on 9th May the Festival of Europe is moving to Belgrade, to Kalemegdan, on Saturday May 14.
The EU Delegation to Serbia, together with the EU member states, Ministry of EU Integration, City of Belgrade and European Movement, will be welcoming the visitors from 12.00h to 15.00 at the stands, located on the main promenade facing Sava River.
Master of ceremony will, as part of the opening, visit the stands and speak with:
• the Ambassador of the European Union to Serbia H.E. Emanuele Giaufret
• Minister of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia Jadranka Joksimović
• Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesić
Visitors will be able to enjoy the art works by Cypriot artist Constantinos Christou, have fun with their children in the kids’ corner, take part in a prize winning EU Quiz, and listen to a wonderful musical programme by violinist Branislava Jovanov, fado singer Tamara Jokić and the Intermezzo quartet. Visitors will also be able to visit the European Union stand, as well as stands of 16 EU Member States , stand of the Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia and the stand of the European Movement in Serbia.
The Festival of Europe reflects the European Union moto United in Diversity and is part of the Campaign “Better Together”
